The challenge
Regulations related to product safety and sustainability are becoming increasingly complex and have a growing impact on how organisations operate, document and report. At the same time, customers, authorities and partners expect information that is accurate, up to date and transparent.
To meet these expectations in a sustainable way, we are strengthening our QHSE team with a Compliance & Sustainability Specialist. In this role, you act as a content-driven reference point for compliance and sustainability topics. You analyse, structure and substantiate dossiers and provide well-founded input to the QHSE Manager, who carries final responsibility.
You manage your own dossiers independently, while working closely with the QHSE Manager and other internal stakeholders. The role combines in-depth analysis, coordination and tangible impact within the organisation.
Your role
You actively monitor national and international legislation related to product safety and sustainability. You analyse regulatory developments and assess their implications for the Vandeputte Safety product portfolio. You review product information, certificates and documentation for accuracy, completeness and relevance.
You collect and structure compliance and sustainability data from different departments and systems. Based on this information, you prepare dossiers, reports and documentation for customers, internal stakeholders and authorities. You ensure deadlines are met and deliverables are accurate and reliable.
You also act as an internal point of contact for compliance and sustainability-related questions. In collaboration with internal and external partners, you share insights, connect regulatory requirements with practice, and contribute to building awareness and knowledge across the organisation.
Your profile
- Experience or a strong affinity with compliance, product safety, sustainability or QHSE
- A genuine interest in legislation and the ability to structure complex information
- Ability to interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into clear and reliable documentation
- A precise and methodical working style, with confidence in data analysis and processing
- Good knowledge of Excel (level B–C) and experience with CRM or ERP systems
- Strong sense of responsibility, good deadline management and clear communication
- Fluent in Dutch and professionally proficient in English; knowledge of French is a plus
