Who we are
As experts in safety and well-being, we protect more than 1,000,000 people in Belgium, the Netherlands, and France each and every day. We believe in a world where every employee can do his or her job safely and comfortably and return home healthy every evening. Vandeputte employees go the extra mile to achieve this daily.
As an organisation, we want to offer our colleagues a safe working environment, where they can be themselves and become who they want to be - an environment where growth, learning, and entrepreneurship are encouraged.
Vandeputte Safety is looking for a Supply Chain Officer for our office in Boechout.
What we expect from you
As a Supply Chain Officer, you will be fully responsible for managing your own portfolio of suppliers from start to finish. This includes interpreting order proposals (both for stock and predominantly non-stock items), placing and following up on orders through to delivery at our warehouse. You will handle any discrepancies, whether in deliveries or invoices, ensuring everything in your portfolio runs. You will moreover initiate and implement improvement proposals for your suppliers and within the organisation so as to optimise the supply chain. This will ensure that our products are available on time to meet customer demand. You will also monitor inventory levels, and identify shortages or delays proactively.
Together with your fellow Supply Chain Officers, you will support the Supply Chain Planners by tracking deliveries, processing backorder lists, and managing exceptions. You will work closely with Sales, Logistics, and Marketing to meet customer needs efficiently. As the main point of contact for suppliers, you will ensure compliance with delivery agreements and maintain clear communication. You will also help optimise processes with a focus on reliability and continuity, making you the ideal person to answer first-line queries from Sales regarding delivery times.
You will join a close-knit team of seven Supply Chain Officers and Supply Chain Planners, where cooperation is key. Together, you will make sure that processes run smoothly, and inventory levels remain adequate. You will report to the Supply Chain Coordinator.
What you bring to the table
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent through experience.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in procurement or the supply chain.
- Strong language skills in Dutch, French, and English.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP or equivalent) and proficiency in Excel.
- A customer- and results-oriented mindset: you will make sure that orders are placed on time and deliveries meet internal expectations and requirements.
- Analytical acumen and attention to detail: you are able to determine the correct order proposals, quantities, and volumes based on data while working meticulously.
- Cooperation: you will work closely with internal departments such as Sales, Logistics, and Marketing to optimise processes and meet delivery commitments.
What Vandeputte has to offer
You will be joining a dynamic, international environment where well-being and results go hand in hand. Here, you are not just a number. Vandeputte Safety is a dynamic company with a horizontal structure where you have room to develop, take control of your career, and leverage your strengths. You will be immersed in the organisation’s culture so that you can contribute autonomously and responsibly, where trust is the starting point for a great collaboration.
In addition, you can count on an attractive package of employment benefits, including a well-deserved salary, meal allowance, access to an e-learning platform, and group and hospitalisation insurance. You will work in an informal and friendly atmosphere and report to a manager who trusts you. Our modern headquarters in Boechout will be your home base. The coffee is always ready for you, and it comes with the smiles. There is also the possibility to work from home.
