Maintenance and repairs of blower units

Why inspection and maintenance of blower units?

In addition to the legal requirements in SUCAM (Selection, Use, Care and Maintenance), European regulations (EN 89/656 and EN529) and national legislation, the manufacturer also states that a blower unit must be regularly inspected and calibrated.

Very few manufacturers provide a specific time-scale and/or unambiguous guidelines for complying with preventive maintenance guidelines for a motor unit.

Despite the lack of guidelines, it is essential to have your blower units serviced on a regular basis in order for these to operate correctly, and also to increase their lifespan.

What does maintenance include?

During maintenance of a motor unit, our technicians always follow through the same steps:

  • Light cleaning (if required)
  • Visual check to establish whether certain parts need replacing (e.g. o-rings, belts,...).
  • If required, parts are replaced
  • Testing and calibration of the flow rate, if applicable
  • Preparation of a test report
  • Applying an inspection sticker
  • Logging the details of the blower unit and all maintenance work carried out into the Vandeputte database..

Maintenance can be carried out at our workshops or on-site at your premises. For on-site work, we like to assess the options in advance, based on the number of motor units to be serviced and the work to be carried out.

Which blower units are we able to maintain?

In order to guarantee a high standard of quality, we carry out maintenance only for brands that have given us explicit authorisation or the mandatory certification required for the maintenance of their products:
