Utilizing near field magnetic induction, the 3M™ PELTOR™ System Control Unit helps to improve cable management through cord-free connection to the 3M™ PELTOR™ ComTac™ VII Headset, and 3M™ PELTOR™ Tactical Earplugs, TEP-300. There is also a port for an optional wired connection to the 3M™ PELTOR™ ComTac™ VII Headset. The SCU is equipped with three com ports for radios and intercom systems, and is designed to handle multiple radios with multiple channels. The SCU is also available with Bluetooth® technology. The SCU can be remotely operated via a wireless remote control unit (RCU). It is designed to be mounted on a picatinny rail, but can be placed elsewhere. Besides using the remote as a push-to-talk PTT, it can also be used to adjust the volume level of the environmental listening or radio. No PPE.
