Sustainability is not treated as a mere marketing claim, but as an operational choice embedded across our distribution activities: from the energy that powers our warehouse, to the packaging used to supply your orders.
Our distribution centre in Puurs is powered by solar energy, with 95% of consumption powered by rooftop solar panels. The remainder of our energy requirements are sourced exclusively from green electricity. Fossil fuels no longer form any part of our energy mix.
We also take proactive measures to minimise our energy consumption
Wherever possible, we aim to minimise the amount of packaging used. When packaging is required, we exclusively use recycled materials. When preparing an order for delivery, our software automatically selects the most suitable packaging based on the product dimensions. This eliminates excessive use of boxes, and avoids unnecessary filling materials.
All waste generated at our distribution centre is carefully sorted into 28 separate waste streams. This system maximises recycling rates while minimising residual waste.
We translate sustainability into practical actions across our entire transport network:
By choosing fixed delivery days, you as the customer, actively contribute to reducing transport-related emissions. No extra delivery for a single box – we consolidate deliveries and optimise transport routes.
