Dirk Vandeputte: Lessons from Entrepreneurs

In the spring of 2016 a new 'Ondernemers voor de Klas' (Lessons from Entrepreneurs) event is to take place; a project in which Flemish business leaders pass on their knowledge about entrepreneurship to students in their final year of secondary education. Young people in their final year at school have to make important choices concerning studies and careers. Talking to a company manager can provide answers to many of their questions, e.g. what skills are needed to be successful in a business and what exactly does it mean to be an entrepreneur?

Once again this year, Dirk Vandeputte will be participating in this Vlajo (Vlaamse jonge ondernemingen = Flemish Young Companies) initiative, in collaboration with the VKW business platform, and together with more than 300 fellow entrepreneurs, will be taking classes across the Flanders region. Further participants include Herman van de Velde (Lingerie Van de Velde), Bart Claes (JBC), Karel Cardoen (Cardoen) and Martine Reynaers (Reynaers).

During these classes, Dirk Vandeputte will draw on his own experience as CEO of a growing family business to give the students the best possible idea of what it means to be an entrepreneur, and above all, to inspire them to start up their own businesses.
