What challenges did you face concerning the purchase of workwear and personal protective equipment?
We used to work with a partner who supplied protective equipment and workwear through local shops. Our employees could go to the shop to collect goods that had been approved.
Unfortunately, this did not always go smoothly.
Sometimes our employees chose products that had not been approved by Matexi, or the administrative procedure was not adhered to.
So we were looking for a solution whereby:
- our employees could buy their own personal protective equipment and workwear;
- it was only possible to buy products that had been approved by Matexi;
- we could monitor purchases, so that people did not buy either too much or too little protective equipment.

All Matexi employees now have a personal login with which they can place orders from the approved range.
The goods are delivered by name to a predefined delivery address.
We have also established the maximum budget to be spent per employee. If our employees need anything extra, the budget can be increased by an authorised person.
This keeps us well-informed about what our employees are purchasing and also of what they need.
